Siblings Tim (Branton Thwaites/Garret Ryan Ewald) and Kaylie (Karen Gillan/Annalise Basso) are reunited when on reaching the age of 21 he is released from psychiatric care.

When they were just kids, Tim shot and killed their father following a fateful night where he'd earlier killed their mother and was menacing them.

In the intervening time, Tim has had to undergo a great deal of therapy but is finally ready to rejoin society, dismissing what he said at the time about events as the product of trauma.

Kaylie meanwhile, on the surface having led a more normal life maintains that their father was under a malign supernatural influence and has been planning to get proof of this as a form of closure. She has a very detailed plan.

To make the plan happen Kaylie needs Tim and reminds him of a pact they made that night. No good will come of this.

Brotherhood of the Wolf

Pre-revolutionary France. A mysterious and terrible Beast is stalking the countryside of Gévaudan. Hundreds have died.

The naturalist Chevalier de Fronsac (Samuel Le Bihan) is sent by the King along with his Iroquois valet Mani (Mark Dacascos) to capture or kill the Beast where the local guard have failed.

Shenanigans ensue.

Nolan Wright (Mamoudou Athie) is a young father struggling after a serious accident killed his wife and left him in a coma only to emerge with complicated memory issues.

He relies heavily on his daughter Ava (Amanda Christine) to prompt him through daily routine when the various post-its and reminders he is surrounded by fail.

When a doctor (Phylicia Rashad) offers him an experimental treatment using a hypnotic, immersive VR environment to stimulate his brain he's initially sceptical but takes up the offer as the toll on young Ava grows.

The Deep House

Ben (James Jagger) and Tina (Camille Rowe) live an aspirational urban exploring vanlife.

Currently they're touring rural France looking for things to feature on their YouTube channel.

When the expected destination is crowded with tourists, Ben gets a tip on a flooded valley with an intact house at the bottom from a local.

Bird Box Barcelona

Sebastián (Mario Casas) scavenges through the near deserted streets of Barcelona with his daughter Anna (Alejandra Howard).

It is months after the arrival of spectral forces that drive most who see them to suicide and the streets are littered with corpses and the detritus of societal collapse. The only way to travel outdoors is to cover your eyes and resist the tempting whispers to look.

Some who see become zealots, forcefully making the reluctant look and these are the greatest threat of all.

Soft and Quiet

Kindergarten teacher Emily (Stephanie Estes) organises the first meeting of a social club in a back room in the church. She's had a tough time recently and is hoping it goes well. There, a group of likeminded women come together and discuss how to grow the club, talk through their problems and about things that matter to them.

When they have to leave early some of them decide to head back to her home to continue the meeting. They stop by the local store one of their number runs for some wine and snacks.

No good will come of this.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout

Two years after the events of Rogue Nation, capturing Solomon Lane to take down "The Syndicate" hasn't worked. The various agents and groups have reorganised and become "The Apostles" and perhaps are even more dangerous.

When it becomes clear they are trying to get hold of the plutonium needed to make three nuclear weapons the IMF send Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team to try and break up the deal. This time though the CIA want oversight and send Agent Walker (Henry Cavill) along for the ride.

After foiling an arms shipment arranged by the shadowy "Syndicate" Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) finds himself captured by it.

When he is unexpectedly freed by one of the captors (Rebecca Ferguson) whether or not she can be trusted becomes a new mystery.

When stolen Russian nuclear codes surface on the Black Market the IMF attempt to intercept them but the operation goes awry and an agent dies. Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is extracted from a Russian prison where he's been languishing to continue the chase.

When an agent he trained is captured, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) joins the rescue mission. This will start a chain of escalating consequences that threatens his life outside the IMF.

When rogue IMF agent Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott) extracts a scientist carrying something and disappears, leaving a crashed plane and hundreds dead Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is tasked with finding him.

Hunt recruits Ambrose's ex, thief Nyah Nordoff-Hall (Thandiwe Newton) as bait to flush him out.

When an IMF team are catastrophically compromised on an operation to root out a traitor, sole survivor Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is framed for the fiasco. Hunt goes on the run direct to the criminal on the other of the side of the deal and offers to complete it hoping to find the real traitor in the process.

Free Fire

Late 70s, two IRA men travel to Boston to buy a load of assault rifles for The Cause. The deal is to happen in a deserted warehouse and as well as the supplier, various fixers, helpers and muscle are in attendance.

Nobody expects that a chance encounter the previous night will cause things to go very wrong.

Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) Warren travel to Enfield, London where the Hodgson family are being troubled by a ghostly presence.

Immediately things get spooky: the family dog refuses to enter the house, they find their clocks stopping at the same time in the middle of the night and the youngest daughter makes a new invisible friend

After some actual violent manifestations, Carolyn Perron (Lili Taylor) approaches renowned ghost hunters Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) for help.

Following on from the events of 'Becky' our titular revenge fuelled Heroine (Lulu Wilson) is now working in a diner.

She is perhaps even more stroppy and unruly than before, although she manages to keep some of her more violent responses to her imagination.

She has a run-in with a group of "Noble Men" (a stand-in for one of the various US alt-right groups) who decide to follow her home and pay her an unexpected visit.

No good will come of this.

Insidious

Josh (Luke Wilson) and Renai (Rose Byrne) move into a new home but begin to experience strange goings before they've even fully unpacked. Their son Dalton has a seemingly trivial accident and falls into an unexplained coma and as Renai cares for him while Josh works the apparent haunting gathers pace.

Eventually they seek unorthodox help. No good will come of this.

All quiet on the Western Front

1917: Young Paul Bäumer (Felix Kammerer) volunteers for the Kaiser's war. He and his friends are filled with pride and keen to prove their heroism to family and friends.

Meanwhile, administrators and elements of the German High Command are realising the awful toll war is enacting on the nation and begin to consider the unthinkable: an Armistice.
