Currently they're touring rural France looking for things to feature on their YouTube channel.
When the expected destination is crowded with tourists, Ben gets a tip on a flooded valley with an intact house at the bottom from a local.
No good will come of this.
CW: jump scares, drowning
This French haunted house horror is ambitious. Where a lot of horror has bullshit reasons for people to be stumbling around in the swirling confusing dark with inadequate lighting, scuba diving in a decaying house makes it totally believable.
A massive effort must have gone into the shooting it's almost all underwater and looks to have been done 100% practically.
Unfortunately it's let down by a weak script and Jagger is AWFUL.
He's playing a classic "irritating mansplainy boyfriend" character that both grates as character and by how badly he plays it. It's a double whammy of tooth grinding irritation.
Rowe is OK but once things get weird the dialogue devolves to them shouting Ben! Tina! Ben! Tina! Ben! Tina! over and over. Which is a strong sign they didn't know what to do with the script at that point.
Overall 5/10 disappointing despite the unusual setup and ambitious shooting.
