It is months after the arrival of spectral forces that drive most who see them to suicide and the streets are littered with corpses and the detritus of societal collapse. The only way to travel outdoors is to cover your eyes and resist the tempting whispers to look.
Some who see become zealots, forcefully making the reluctant look and these are the greatest threat of all.

This spin-off from Bird Box is very much a retread with similar material just in an urban setting.
It does some fun play with relating the phenomenon to religious ecstasy and The Rapture where the original made those who have seen and survived act more like they were demonically possessed.
There is a little fiddling with how people in a European city might speak different languages and struggle to communicate in a difficult situation that's both unusual but also somehow filler.
Overall a very meh survival horror 5/10. I enjoyed the original but this attempt to make a franchise out of what was a mildly interesting weird story is weak.
