CW: sexual assault, autopsy scenes

Ponderous overlong twaddle stuffed with flowery dialogue that is completely unconvincing as something somebody from that period would say, even though it's striving to convey period feel.

It's like the actors have rote learned a foreign language for their performances. It's just lots of words said to a camera.

It's packed with decent cast but just none of it gels.

Dismal, 3/10. I had hoped for something much better. Some things you watch _knowing_ they'll have flaws and can enjoy them nonetheless. I wanted to switch this off 45 minutes before the end because it was just so dull.
