That night is an event for Slater King (Channing Tatum), billionaire CEO recently returned after a leave of absence for therapy after scandalous behaviour.
The pair gatecrash the after-party and Rita catches Slater's eye. He invites them both to join his friends on his private island.
No good will come of this.
CW: rape, misogyny, bloody violent mayhem
Zoë Kravitz (yes, Catwoman from The Batman) has assembled an amazing cast for another in the burgeoning "rich white guys do reprehensible shit then get their comeuppance" genre.
Exactly what you think is going to happen does: the original title was apparently "Pussy Island" and Adria Arjona plays a multi-season winner of the "Hot Survivor Babes" reality show.
While you can see the basic premise coming a mile off this excels at how the detail unfolds. Every day is like an amazing spa retreat and never ending party but as the days go on things start to get fuzzy until Frida has a sudden realisation.
There are a lot of movies with these kind of themes about now and while I don't think it adds anything new the execution is excellent and establishes Kravitz as a filmmaker of note 8/10 recommended.
