Being quite naive about this sort of thing he immediately comes to the attention of multiple Intelligence agencies causing a scramble to get hold of the device.
I imagine the pitch was "how about one of those ensemble spy action blockbusters but THEY'RE ALL WOMEN! Imagine the surprise! Get the right talent on board, preferably International, and we'd totally nail the modern independent thinking female demographic: be the next big franchise!"
Which is fine and all but you still have to actually make a good movie.
This is just another weak ensemble action movie like all the others floating around on the streaming services, of which there are multiple, and a frankly stellar cast can't save it. I won't name and shame but what were they thinking. These are people with serious careers and award winning performances in their repertoire doing stuff you'd expect from Dolph Lundgren. Did they not see that Jason Flemyng was the playing the bad guy and have some idea how it was going to turn out?
Mediocre 5/10 do not bother.
