Trent explains how he was an insurance fraud investigator hired by a publishing company to track down missing horror writer Sutter Cane, their highest grossing talent.

No good will come of this
CW: some jump scares and squishy 80s style gore and monster effects
John Carpenter directing from a script by Michael De Luca this is a great homage to popular horror and the satanic panic around it in the 80s.
There are loads of references to HP Lovecraft but also pulp horror more broadly and Steven King is name checked.
While it might have been made in the 90s it has very 80s sensibilities. It's generally a bit schlocky but that's the point.
Really quite enjoyable daftness 7/10.
