After a bunch of really uninspiring evenings and dick pics from dating apps, Noa (Daisy Edgar-Jones) takes a chance on giving Steve (Sebastian Stan) her number after he chats her up in the supermarket.

No good will come of this.

CW: I don't know how to do this without spoilering the movie completely but it's full of misogyny and unpleasant as fuck, but in a meaningful way

This is an out of the blue bolt of almost Cronenberg horror unpleasantness. Mimi Cave and Lauryn Kahn are definitely people to look out for in the future.

It starts as a straightforward romantic semi-comedy and the pair have perfect chemistry for that. Then there's the 'tilt' and we get the titles as the actual movie begins. Yet the chemistry remains.

It's HORRIBLE but you see very little, with all the unpleasantness coming from the concept, dialogue and direction.

I felt kind of queasy for a fair chunk of it.

Highly recommended if you like nasty things, 8/10. If you don't, avoid.
