General Aldo rankles at attempts to build a post-war society with humans integrated with, if not equal to Apes and plots with a group of more militant Gorillas to take power.
This final part of the franchise doesn't have the budget to match its ambition.
The battle looks like LARPers hired some old school buses and jeeps then drove them slowly across a field at a barricade, scared of losing their security deposit.
There is much grand philosophical talk and it builds mostly on this but it can't really do much more than talk about stuff. There was simply no money to explore much outside the Ape village. I say village because it really doesn't really have enough of a cast to make it seem like anything larger.
It does wrap things up nicely though 6/10. This has been a great set of movies to watch and almost makes me want to watch the recent reboot which I don't think I ever saw the last of and was generally well regarded.
