Eighteen months later he reluctantly takes a call from Ryder's Producer (Hannah Waddingham) and she says the only thing that will get him back in the game...
Judy needs him or her first movie as Director is dead.
No good will come of this.
Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, both of whom can essentially do no wrong in my book, in an absurd action romcom with lots of meta stuff about the absurdity of action movies and actual great stunts? I was _always_ going to love this.
I remember the original TV show and had a saying "The Fall Guy is God's way of telling you it's time to go to bed" because it would be on in the early hours of a weekend when I was at college and it was frankly rubbish.
This is not, it is the finest of fine cheese. The movie they are making: "Metalstorm" looks like a Zak Snyder thing and it pokes fun at trashy action while being knowingly trashy action.

It's about as perfect as it could be. There's a trained dog who attacks bad guys on command, fights with prop weapons vs real weapons, lots of "doing stunts, but for real[1]" and er, unicorns.
No, nobody will be talking about this in film studies but it's perfect feelgood bubblegum fun 8/10 highly recommended.
