When the group realise Jerry is getting married at the end of May and has neglected to tell them they see it as an opportunity to descend upon their childhood hometown and finally get him.
CW: lots of off colour jokes/humour including stuff about miscarriage that I was astonished to hear
This is a gross out/slapstick/cringe comedy of the sort I normally avoid.
The sort of thing where there's a chase scene across a golf course in golf buggies while "Woop woop! That's the sound of da Police" blasts from the soundtrack.
People fall over a lot. There's lots of saying fuck and motherfucker for no other reason than sometimes it's funny. Weed is smoked. People flirt with old high school sweethearts. Or their friend's mother. Improbable slo-mo action scenes happen in malls with a middle aged man in granny drag and a zimmer frame.
You know the kind of thing.
Most of these movies are execrable but Tag is not. Somehow a mix of cast chemistry and a lack of meanness (usually these movie are quite mean) made it work for me.
It's maybe a teeny tiny bit too long and obviously not deep and meaningful but it does hit the spot in the way that only kind of crass stuff like this does 7/10 worth a look.
