We are what we are

When the patriarch of the family fails to come home, siblings Alfredo, Julian and Sabina start to fight. One of them needs to be in charge but their mother doesn't think any of them are up to the task.

The problem is they need something for dinner tomorrow and their appetites are unusual...

This grim Mexican horror nominally exists in the same world as Cronos as it shares one single minor character.

It's odd. The title reflects the sheer matter of fact way the family go about their cannibalism. At one point they try to grab a street child a bit like grabbing a chicken for the pot.

They're odd. There are plainly rules and rituals about what they do but we never really find out what they are. Their family interactions seem out of step with the norm like a slightly alien culture.

I can't really think of much to recommend it though, it's just grim. 4/10, don't bother. It's not specifically bad it's just weird in a bad "what did I just watch" way.
