No good will come of this.
CW: body horror and squishy abominations a go-go. They also treat the female characters badly in a "just there to be victims" 80s style
This indie horror starts off with everybody trapped in the hospital by cultists, moves on to icky Thing-esque monsters roaming the basement then ends on an almost Hellraiser-esque cosmic horror note, taking a broad tour of 80s horror vibes as it goes.
It's rammed full of practical albeit darkly shot effects and gets down to business quickly. I'm not sure it 100% makes sense and the characters are dreadfully thin but it goes at it with glee.
It's not really my thing but it did keep me engaged. 5/10 one for people who are horror fans I think. I know I'm watching a lot of horror at the moment but I still protest that I'm not a horror fan but somebody who's ended up watching it as the genre of last resort when nothing else calls to me.
