Late WWII in a remote area of Finland, lone prospector Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila) strikes lucky and finds a huge deposit of gold.

While travelling to bank this he crosses paths with a group of retreating Waffen SS. Initially they ignore him but some stragglers decide to shake him down for whatever they can.

No good will come of this.

CW: riotously bloody grindhouse violence, rape

Jalmari Helander has excelled himself in this entry to the "baddies mess with a grizzled old guy who turns out to be a retired ultimate badass" genre.

It's essentially a Western but with Nazis and the score and chapter cards riff on this. The action borders on superheroic and I chuckled at the many and varied outrageous kills.

Doesn't overstay its welcome and being broken up into short chapters really suits it, 8/10 for bloody comedic mayhem.
