Meek's Cutoff


A group of pioneer families are lost on the Oregon Trail having engaged the services of a guide: the titular Meek to lead them West.

As they slowly consume their supplies and face various hazards they struggle to agree.

Infested

Kaleb (Theo Christine) lives in a cramped apartment in public housing with his sister Manon (Lisa Nyarko) and the two have had a strained relationship ever since their mother died. Everything in the building is falling to pieces and the residents are a mix of older folk who've been there forever and younger people who can't afford anywhere better.

Kaleb is an amateur herpetologist and when he sees an unusual spider amongst the stock of an unlicensed dealer he buys it and brings it home for his collection.

Dances with Wolves

John Dunbar (Kevin Costner) is badly injured fighting in a deadlocked battle in the Union Army. He wanders out of hospital and returns in a dazed state where he attempts suicide in a reckless charge at the opposition. This unexpected action causes an improbable breakthrough and Dunbar is considered a hero. Once recovered he is offered his choice of new posting.

Choosing to go to the furthest reaches of the Western Frontier, circumstances conspire to ensure he ends up alone in a very remote location well supplied but detached from the war that almost killed him.

When no relief or resupply comes he finds himself having to deal with the feared Lakota Sioux nation alone.

The Masque of the Red Death

Cruel and debauched Medieval Prince Prospero (Vincent Price) plans a great feast and party at his castle but when a great plague, the titular Red Death, comes to the village he seals the gates allowing no more to enter.

For sport he has abducted young Francesca (Jane Asher), her father, and her lover planning to make the two men fight to the death.

No good will come of this.

Battle Beyond the Stars

When the tyrant Sador (John Saxon) arrives to conquer the peaceful Akira he gives them seven days to prepare their surrender. A young man Shad (Richard Thomas) takes the ship belonging to an old Akira hero to see if anybody will come to their aid despite them having no meaningful means to reward them.

Soldier

Todd 3465 (Kurt Russell) is a Soldier, brutally trained since birth to be an emotionless killing machine.

When made obsolete by a new generation of genetically engineered replacements he is dumped and left for dead on a planet that serves as a garbage pile.
