No good will come of this.
Ben Wheatley does claustrophobic British as fuck dysfunctional family hell.
Stuffed with recognisable British TV and indie movie faces the arrival of a family black sheep causes massive friction.
Sadly it feels like chunks of it is improvised from a bare bones script (maybe it is, maybe it isn't) so some dialogue is a bit disjointed or repetitive.
I can imagine multiple scenes being set up with "OK, you're a bit drunk and you're going to tell David/Colin what a shit he is but be vague about it" and they used these to gap-fill with. Maybe they're deliberately emulating "drunk people are tiresome and repetitive" just a bit too well, but the clue is in including "the cast" in the writing credit.
It's got some good bits but feels under-written, 6/10 sort of disappointing.
