A group of people wake up disorientated and locked into ball gags in a rural area. They've no idea what's going on and they start to gather on the edge of a field.

No good will come of this.

PJ (Rachel Sennott) and Josie (Ayo Edebiri) are two friends who self describe as "ugly and unpopular".

Returning to High School after summer break a series of misunderstandings and general bulshitting leads to them being believed to have "been to juvie and killed a girl" which eventually escalates into them establishing a self defence class and/or fight club depending who you ask.

Really though it's just an attempt to pick up cheerleaders and fuck them.
