Killers of the Flower Moon

Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) moves to Osage County to work for his uncle William "King" Hale (Robert De Niro) after leaving the Army post WWI.

The Osage Nation are fabulously wealthy, owning mineral rights to the oil rich lands and receive regular government stipends based off family inheritance.

Ernest works as a cab driver and begins regularly driving an Osage woman, Mollie (Lily Gladstone). Eventually romance blossoms and they marry. Wealth has meant they are seen as desirable/eligible outside the Osage community.

Meanwhile death stalks the the wealthy Osage.

Scorsese makes a mini-series then calls it a movie.

I struggle a bit with the applause this got: it feels like Mollie had more to be discovered on screen while Ernest is a weak man being bossed around by his uncle making the same mistakes repeatedly and we don't see him really change much.

Decent but with the focus in the wrong place, 7/10.
