The Russos do Bourne with a side order of RED but with none of the panache of either. It's every modern "covert operative" movie cliché bundled together.
G-Wagons race through generic European capital streets. Guys in black tactical gear shoot up generic European city squares. People jump out of planes. Helicopters explode. Innocents are threatened. Traps are escaped from with Maguyvered explosives. There's a conspiracy at the highest level of government or something. There's a kid with whom Six has heartwarming bonding moments. There are lots and lots of bullets.
Ana De Armas does the sort of action role as Six's handler that was hinted at in her Bond appearance and does OK with it while Gosling phones it in. Jessica Henwick is channeling the roles Maggie Q used to get and Chris Evans has the odd moment of fun as a psychopath sent to hunt down Six but it all just retreads such a worn path I zoned out somewhat.
You've seen all this before and the quite large amount of money Netflix spent on it has added nothing to the betterment of mankind. It's all just so desperately throwaway and some of the action scenes don't even look that good. Like when you watch a "making of" where you can recognise a huge impressive sequence and the "making of" version looks tame. It's all just tame.
It filled its role as something to watch with my dinner but that's all. 5/10 big pile of meh.
