He's soon joined by Lieutenant Peyton (Dennis Quaid) and the pair work together, Bower exploring while Peyton directs him from the one working computer terminal they have.
It becomes apparent they are not alone...
They made a 90s grimy space horror but it spent too long in stasis and emerged in 2009. It's even got Dennis Quaid in, how 90s middle tier action movie is that.
Rehashing Event Horizon with a dash of every "woke up with amnesia" and "they used to be people before they turned to cannibalism" action horror trope.
Eventually a female environmental engineer character appears, mostly to wear a very tight corset top and get rescued having magically lost her amazing ass-kicking parkour skills the moment she ran into THE PROTAGONIST. There's also a 'magical savage' and 'treacherous samaritan' for extra lazy tiresome 90s-ness.
It's not terrible but it is an utterly unremarkable throwback to maybe 20 years prior. The monster makeup is quite cool and the industrial sets look interesting but you can't see much as it's all darkness, fast cuts, speeded up fight scenes, running and flickering torches.
Don't bother friends, 5/10. I sought this out specifically after I saw somebody mention it and it was quite a disappointment.
