Detective Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) is the first black Police office in the Colorado Springs dept.
Despite struggling with some racism he has great success working undercover and gets assigned to the Intelligence devision.
Here he infiltrates the KKK posing as a white man through telephone conversations and correspondance but has to get one of his colleagues (Adam Driver ) to stand in when it comes to face to face meetings.
This all gets very complicated.
I expected a serious movie done with humour and it didn't disappoint.
Perhaps not as big a deal as the noise it made on release as it gets rushed at the end despite a long running time, but still good. One of those rare occasions where I actually think it could have stood being a tiny bit longer to give the last act more room. 7/10
