When he calmly and ruthlessly takes down a whole gang that tries to hold up the truck he's in singlehandedly it becomes clear he's not quite who he said on the application form.
Guy Ritchie ditches his usual geezerish gangster nonsense for macho heist/revenge nonsense. Statham phones it in somewhat but the supporting cast are good.
It's nicely structured, dropping into a long flashback to explain why he's there and offering a second viewpoint for a fair chunk of the final section.
Ultimately it's an insubstantial paean to violent badassery that is as hollow as a Boris Johnson Christmas party denial but it kept my attention throughout. 7/10 I just felt a little bit dirty afterwards.
